Pastor's Tip - Handling Education Expense Reimbursements

To encourage many pastors to continue their education, some churches will offer to reimburse the pastor’s educational expenses. This is a great gift for pastors. It’s even better if the reimbursement is handled in such a way as to keep it as nontaxable income to the pastor.

Every church should have a detailed Policies and Procedures Manual. Such a manual allows the “business” aspect of the church to carry on smoothly when there is a transition in leadership.
